                                                    Tyler Perry's Money Machine  

  In many people's mind as a star the appearance is the most important condition. After reading this article Ihave change my view of stars. Tyler Perry is a famous actor, director, screenwriter and author in the US. Perry wrote and produced stage plays for his own in the past, his fame; status and market value are higher than a Hollywood star. In each movie that he has participated are gained praise. As a African American he always doing thing in his own way, he don't like to copy others style in any way of life. Although he makes a lot of money he is not proud of his fame and achievement. In many of his movie we can see his exertion and creative which gives people a lot of fun and laughter moment. At the same time his works earn several times of money than other famous actor. He gets his target audience invested in the outcome of the plot to catch his success.

Course Reflection

   "what can I say for the pop culture class? Another great learning opportunity helps me in experiencing and increasing knowledge about the society today." I would tell other about this course in this way. Studying pop culture gives us a chance to take a look into the society that we live in.Throughout everything I experienced in this course, I learned and notice a lot from pop culture, popular culture and high culture that happen around our life at every given time; such as music, fad, movie, object, people event ,place,culture identity and the meaning of pop culture etc.  In additional, studying pop culture you gain valuable new insights about yourself and make more senses to all society which you live. On my mind culture is always profound, and we can have many different way to understand the culture that we have. In different country has a different culture and  the difference of culture brings people more idea to head up experience. 
  The course was interesting and helpful because it grabbed me to pay more attention about everything in my America life. The US is a country that has different races and language people to live in, as an immigrant I should study more pop culture thing  to help my own adapt  the life. On the other hand I personally hate reading, but reading the history about our culture is very interesting. 
  Moreover before to study this course I don't know what is Blogger, Prezi and Voki. After the short term study I have fun from those online tools, and I start enjoy to use those thing to finish my assignment. Also we all learning others culture during the class work. 
   Thank you teacher for teaching us pop culture.

Pop culture in my Culture

Two Unit Reflection

  Unit 2
   Throughout everything I experienced in this unit, I have learned and noticed more about from popular culture. I have learned a lot from both the individual projects and group projects. I believe the pop star project is one of the easiest projects that give a great opportunity to every student to learn more about the pop stars in the world other than what they know.  Moreover, the fad explanation is also a great assignment. During this assignment, we all got to know more about what was going on in the world in each decade. Although everyone just explained in short world with their assignment, but I still learned a lot about the fashion, people, food and others that were important in the each decade. Before I start on this assignment I had no idea the mini skirt was rising in 1960S, I thought it was beginning from the last decade. At the same time, I would consider that is my Aha moment in this unit.  I think the mini skirt gives people an informal feeling in the past time, I can’t image how people wearing the mini skirt and walking in the street during 1960S.
  Bumper stick: fashion! Fashion is not just follow what star wearing or using, it is choose the right fashion that looks great on you.

Unit 3“
   Tyler Perry’s Money Machine” another great learning opportunity helps me to know more about a famous African American actor. According to this article I learned Tyler works hard as a machine and makes money with his talent. When Tyler comes out his movie became the most popular and famous, and each movie he involved is receiving an award.  He shows a real Africa American style as they relating to others in the movie, and he is use his own way to showing the nature on movie. The good timing, right chance and perfect talent are reasons for making Tyler’s film successful and earn lots of money. Before I read this article I have no idea who Tyler Perry is and what he did.  I believe this article is giving people passion to start doing on any work. One thing that I want to notice from this article is given but you can try to create your own opportunity. I would consider genre be my Aha Moment in this unit. Genre is a category of artistic, musical and film by a particular style, it also a useful part to bring more common senses in movie plot. Moreover genre is used in the study of films in order and it is impossible to pick what you wanted to watch a film.

Culture Identity Glog

A culture is very important to define your identity. Here, I am going to show you about my culture identity. According to the Glogster poster I was posting four pictures, one video and one link to show you my culture identity. Firstly I am going to explain the four pictures that I posted on it. Staring from the left side the first picture is the tradition Chinese food which is called Dimsum. Usually people will eat that in the morning with a cup of fresh hot tea and enjoy the new beginning of a day. The second one has bright color is the nation of flag picture. The third one is showing twelve animals also known in English as the Chinese zodiac. The Chinese Zodiac is based on a twelve year cycle, each year in that cycle related to an animal sign. The last picture is the evolution of Chinese art and culture. In the past some poor people will hand make toys for their own or children; such as kite and little dump. Those stuffs in the picture were including lots of Chinese old culture information of handicraft art. Secondly the video is showing you a hug of changing surround people’s life in my hometown-Guangzhou.
